Unboxing: Memebox The Next Best Thing In Skin Care

unboxing Memebox The Next Best Thing In Skin Care
Hey Beauties!

I know, I know, it's not Meme Monday. However, I ran into some issues with my original Wednesday post, mainly because the pictures are missing. So instead of the original post, I will be unboxing the Memebox Next Best Thing In Skin Care Box. I purchased this on a whim because South Korea is known for its innovativeness in terms of skincare and I was hoping for some truly amazing products. Having purchased quite a few Memeboxes in the past few months, I found that I am more careful when it comes to choosing which boxes to buy. Since I've got some amazing and not so amazing boxes in the past. However, I was sucked in by the description of this box because I secretly hope for one product, which was included in this box ^^. Let's dig in to see what goodies we'll find in this box!

Memebox The Next Best Thing In Skin Care
Voila! I was so excited when I opened this box. I secretly hope for the Blithe Patting Water to be included and it is. I was actually okay with the fact that it's not a full size product because it came with 3 different types of pouches, so I have the chance to try a variety of it. This box costed $23 plus $6.99 shipping. From just the look of it, it's totally worth it. It came with 6 products plus 1 bonus item, which is the Meme Mask. Generally, Memeboxes come with a description card that includes the product descriptions and pictures. However, recent boxes have a plain looking card with a website link to an e-description card. Personally, I like having a physical card, so I hope this isn't a lasting trend with Memebox.

If you are new to Memebox, they are a Korean beauty box company that sell non-subscription beauty boxes as well as Korean beauty products. They also have their own line of beauty products as well. Their boxes contain full size and deluxe size products that are shipped straight from South Korea. I wrote a comprehensive Q and A post about them not too long ago, so if you would like more information on Memebox, you can check it out.

Meme Mask
Meme Mask
Bonus Item

Product Description: A hydrogel mask to enhance radiance, alleviate irritation, illuminate the skin tone and create firm, resilient skin. This mask is formulated with baobab tree seed extract, chamomile, niacinamide, adenosine and polyglutamic acid to leave the skin brightened, radiant and hydrated. To use, apply onto clean face and leave on for 20 to 40 minutes. Massage remaining serum into skin.

My Thoughts: Secretly, I've wanted to try the Meme masks but couldn't get myself to pull the trigger and buy them. I've been a sheet mask girl for as long as I can remember and while I have tried hydrogel masks before, they are really a hit or miss with me. Different brands' hydrogel masks feel different, fit different, and have different effectiveness and generally they are more expensive than sheet masks. I have found a couple hydrogel masks that I like and I can't wait to try this to see if it'll land in my love pile.
AHC Hologram Active Gen SerumAHC Hologram Active Gen Serum
AHC Hologram Active Gen Serum
50ml, $89

Product Description: A serum that combines active aesthetic ingredients with a scientific liposome system that works to maximize absorbency of nutrients deep into the skin while giving a visibly enhanced complexion. This serum is formulated with a blend of ice fig extracts, hydrolyzed collagen, and ginseng callus extracts to effectively firm, brighten, and repair dry and damaged skin. It will work to revive the youthful and healthy glow that's natural to the complexion. To use, apply to clean face and pat gently for full absorbency.

My Thoughts: Okay, you have to admit, this is one awesome looks serum. I haven't tried this yet because I've read else where that it's got a strong alcohol smell, and I'm not so fond of that. So although this might seem like an amazing product, I won't be using it. Instead, my mom have claimed this because she doesn't mind the smell and actually like it a bit. This product also expires on November 14, 2015. That's a really short time frame for it I think. I'm not fond of all these soon to expire products Memebox is sending out now.
Dr. MJ Moisture Bounce Collagen Capsule Cream
Dr. MJ Moisture Bounce Collagen Capsule Cream
50g, $54

Product Description: This rejuvenating facial cream is formulated with collagen capsules, hyaluronic acid, and adenosine to hydrate and firm up sensitive and tired skin. It's got a bouncy, jelly like texture and it works to alleviate stimulated skin and nourish it for quick skin renewal. To use, apply it evenly onto a clean face and pat it in for full absorbency.

My Thoughts: I was unsure about Dr MJ products in the past. However, having tried and used their sleeping pack from the While You Were Sleeping Box, I've found that these Dr. MJ products are actually pretty amazing. Originally, I dismissed the sleeping pack because of its rather strong floral scent. However, now I really like it, (still not a big fan of the scent but I love how it makes my skin feel in the morning), and have included it in my weekly routine. So, I have high hopes for this product. Although, it will have to wait in line for now.
Blithe Patting Water Pack
Blithe Patting Water Pack
5ml x 6ea, deluxe sample, Energy Yellow Citrus and Honey, Rejuvenating Purple Berry, Soothing and Healing Green Tea

Product Description: Tired of sheet masks every night? Here's something new. The Blithe Patting Water Pack. The water pack works great at removing dead skin cells, delivering moisture and nutrition deep into the skin, and renewing the skin balance for a soft and moist skin condition. Energy Yellow Citrus and Honey works to revitalize and brighten the skin while adding vital minerals and vitamins deep into the skin. Soothing and Healing Green Tea controls oil, soothes irritated skin, and purifies pores. Rejuvenating Purple Berry contains 5 different berry extracts to improve skin elasticity and texture. There are 2 methods to use the Patting Water. The Patting way, which needs 1 cap full of blithe patter water and a basin or large bowl to mix water, ratio 1:100. After it's mixed, gently pat the diluted concentration onto clean skin, let it dry naturally or pat dry with clean facial towel. The second method is the Mist way, thanks to Veritazy for coming up with this method! The Mist option allows you to choose your favorite mist and add 1 cup full of Blithe Patting Water to it, to enhance the mist.

My Thoughts: Blithe is truly bliss. (Hehe, sorry, really wanted to use that.) I have been dying to try this after I've read so many amazing reviews on it. I won't be using the basin method, as that seems too unsanitary for me. Plus it's rather wasteful since Blithe is rather expensive. Instead, I will be using the Mist method. I am super excited and happy to have received this in this box. I will definitely repurchase. Btw, the purple one smells amazingly yummy and once my TesterKorea Haul comes in, I'll be able to try the green one as I ordered a basic aloe mist for it.
Lassei'el Night Miracle Sleeping Pack
Lassei'el Night Miracle Sleeping Pack
4g x 2 ea, $6, Egg and Avocado

Product Description: These adorably packaged mini sleeping packs work to hydrate and rejuvenate dry and exhausted skin overnight. It will reveal a healthier and brighter complexion in the morning. The Egg sleeping pack is formulated with concentrated extracts from eggs, while the Avocado sleeping pack is formulated with concentrated extracts from avocado. To use, remove the lid and use the spatula provided to mix the formula inside the container. Spread the mixed formula evenly onto clean face and neck. Wait for it to absorb, then go to sleep.

My Thoughts: There were 4 different types of sleeping packs that you could have gotten in the box. Aside from the egg and avocado, there's also pearl and mango. I secretly wanted the pearl and mango, but oh well. I recently got lassei'el wash off packs in my WishTrend Haul and have been loving them a lot, so I have high hopes for these products as well. Will report back on them!
Shara Shara Green Tea Seed Magic Balm and IASO Intensive Clear Conditioner
Shara Shara Green Tea Seed Magic Balm
25ml, $17

Product Description: This balm is enriched with green tea seed oil, jojoba seed oil, argan tree kernel oil, and over 30 different kinds of natural essential oils. It's rich in moisture and nutrients and will melt into the skin smoothly. It's got a refreshing lime essential oil fragance and can be used from head to toe as a multi cream, sleeping pack, massage cream, lip balm, or hand and foot pack.

My Thoughts: My magic balm came rancid and was pretty disgusting actually. Luckily, the CS team from Memebox was nice enough to give me 4 points for my rancid balm, so I guess that's okay. This product also has an early expiration date of July 18th, 2015. So that might contribute to the rancid smell as well.

IASO Intensive Clear Conditioner
15 sheets, $12

Product Description: These clear conditioner sheets are formulated with centella asiatic, aloe vera, licorice extracts, and BHA salicylic acid. It works to softly melt away dead skin cells while maintaining a silky soft skin texture and an even skin complexion. To use, take one sheet and gently wipe over cleansed face.

My Thoughts: I am still amazed that this little package has 15 sheets in it. It's tiny. This product also has a rather soon expiration day of June 15, 2015. And that makes this the 3rd product to expire this year in the box. Although I can finish this product before that date, I wish Memebox would stop including soon to expire products in the boxes. Expiration date aside, this does sound like pretty awesome toner sheets, will report back on them!

★     ☆     ★     ☆     ★

Final Thoughts: It's been a while since Memebox sent out an rather decent box, in terms product quality. I could see all the products being amazing and useful. Now, the only issue is the expiration dates. I don't like that some products expire within 6 months and I need use them right away. Looking past the expiration dates issues, this box is pretty great. The products that I won't be using don't seem like a waste either. The serum that I won't be using has already been claimed by my mom. I was given points for the rancid balm, so I can't complain. And the extra Meme mask gives me the chance to try something from their line. All in all, I wish Memebox would stop putting soon to expired products in our boxes, because all these products are amazing, it's just their expiration dates that's dragging them under.

Until next time and dream big!
